When Jonathan started talking, it took me straight back to mindhunter. I miss that show.

He's actually very different in Mindhunter, it's like he puts on his "straight asshole" (both qualifiers being unrelated) voice and pulls it off pretty well.
She truly deserves more interviews and credit for her role in Matrix!

Matrix 4 surely had a very different feel to it, making it not seem like part of the franchise. But oh boy, of course Jessica stole the show just like she did in Iron Fist! 👏🏻
I have no idea what the fuck this movie is about? They remade the first one then something else happens and the whole movie shift focus to freeing Trinity. Like....what the fuck?????
@@WheeledHamster Well, I understood the story. But it really just felt like I was watching a different movie altogether, or like watching a not-so-well-made spinoff of a particular film I love.
Anyways, as a fan I just decided to refuse to acknowledge this film as the last installment of the franchise and instead still think of Revolutions as the true ending of the Matrix, with The Animatrix as an added bonus that explores the lore more 😅
@@WheeledHamster honestly the part where they were saving trinity makes more sense then the part where they were trying to save Neo lol
It wasn't anywhere near as good as the old ones. Even the fight scenes were quite dull and that is what the originals were known for. The choreography was off and they used a lot of shaky camera to try and hide it.
@@BlatentlyFakeName Yeah, noticed that too very quickly. Too bad since I really hold those Matrix fight choreographies (from the original trilogy) as my own gold standard when it comes to Hollywood fight scenes/sequences.
jonathan calling what jess did with her skirt hot and jess calling him her forever crush are two of my fave moments from this interview
she didn't need the blue hair, she looks great here with dark hair, they should have kept her natural

Man the Resurrections film made me want to fall in love again.
They were both so wonderful in the film. Dang shame it’s divisive as it is, because I personally loved it 🤷♀️

Compared to the original it was sloppy in every department. Even camera work.

yep, the movie was okay but it was more like a "happy" epilogue, where the characters come back and for nothing, cause Matrix 5 aint happening.

baby steps 👍 ... Jonathan has a role now in Doctor Who, which is partially funded by Disney now, and he already has history with Disney Animation, so it won't be long until he features in the MCU or SW.
Love love love her. In a way I’m glad she took the bugs role because it shows how versatile she can be acting and skill wise. But would have loved to see her in a more successful on-going role in something in like the MCU. Thank God, not in Shang-Chi though because that would be so pigeon-holed for a talent like her.

It's a weird, cute, feelgood movie. I enjoyed it. It did not feel like The Matrix, which was interesting, because there was so much The Matrix in it. I think I liked it more than the other two sequels, but it's hard to even compare it, because it feels like such a different kind of movie, and smaller in a way I can't quite describe. Almost like...a romantic comedy in the Matrix. Which is not something I expected to see, and something I can totally understand some people straight up hating if they had any kind of a wish list.

@@Swenglish Because it is self-referential, poking fun of itself, of The Matrix franchise. It's not as bombastic as the previous sequels. The way the film was edited is weird and messy, making it creatively standalone on it's own

Jessica was the only good thing with the matrix. They killed the series as they did with Terminator,star wars going all "woke". I would not be surprised if theyy make another terminator,star wars or matrix and the hero is a transgender drag queen next.
100% honestly I didn't notice any of those films were woke. What did they do to them? I didn't notice any trans people in them. Maybe they were there but they can't have been that obvious. Also I don't see what's wrong with that. I mean the original Stargate had that gender bending villian. It's just getting the right person for the right role - if it works - it works
